Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver rehabilitation services to patients with physical and cognitive difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working in a rehabilitation environment and be able to organize delegated workload to support direct patient care. They will also have knowledge of teaching skills appropriate to adults, learning styles, and a range of rehabilitation interventions.

In this role, you will support the implementation of the Unified Assessment Process and demonstrate awareness of disability/impairments. You will also prepare and plan groups in line with the Rehabilitation plan and have knowledge of stock equipment ordering, monitoring, and control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver rehabilitation services to patients with physical and cognitive difficulties.
  • To organize delegated workload to support direct patient care.
  • To prepare and plan groups in line with the Rehabilitation plan.
  • To support the implementation of the Unified Assessment Process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A good standard of education, GCSE English and Maths (Grade A-C) or Level II equivalent qualification.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 4 or equivalent level of knowledge or NVQ/QCF Level 3 PLUS Additional training to Diploma level or equivalent.
  • Health and Social care related qualification.
  • Relevant experience of working in a rehabilitation environment.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
