Job Title: Tutor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing educational support to children who require additional help outside of mainstream settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational sessions to children in their homes or local areas, such as libraries.
  • Build rapport and establish a good relationship with pupils.
  • Plan and prepare resources tailored to the child's needs, typically for English and Maths, and occasionally Science.
  • Engage children in tasks and ensure they remain motivated throughout the session.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging educational sessions
  • Skills to get pupils' education back on track
  • Experience with managing and implementing behavior strategies
  • Ability to assess pupils' progress and provide feedback
  • Desirable - SEN experience
