Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to work with children who require additional support in a one-to-one setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, with a focus on delivering engaging and effective learning sessions. They will be able to build rapport with pupils, plan and deliver educational resources, and keep children engaged with tasks.

The role will involve working with children who may have additional needs or are looked after children, and will require the ability to manage and implement different behaviour strategies. The successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of their skills and experience, and will be subject to background checks and a current DBS certificate.

Working hours will be between Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:00, and the role will involve working with children in their homes or a local area. The location will vary dependent on the need of the pupil, but will be pre-agreed prior to commencement of the tuition.

Requirements include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and effective learning sessions
  • Applying skills to get pupils education back up to speed
  • Managing and implementing different behaviour strategies

Desirable qualifications include SEN experience.
