Job Title: Consultant in Oncology

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Oncology to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Oncology, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients with cancer, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality care and optimum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cancer, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and palliative care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with symptoms of cancer, and provide expert advice on diagnosis and treatment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals on cancer care and management.
Requirements:
  • Valid GMC registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3-6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK.
  • MRCP and on the Specialist Register.
