Medical Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Gynaecology and Breast, and will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cancer.
Job Summary:The post-holder will provide consultation and advisory services to clinical colleagues in the Trust and Primary Care, and will be responsible for managing and leading specialist units and working parties as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of teaching clinical skills to medical, nursing staff, and other disciplines, and will be committed to Continuing Medical Education.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to the A&E department and acute medicine to ensure timely and appropriate care and patient flow through the hospital.
- Provide consultation and advisory services to clinical colleagues in the Trust and Primary Care.
- Manage and lead specialist units and working parties as appropriate.
- Teach clinical skills to medical, nursing staff, and other disciplines.
- Supervise postgraduate research.
- Commit to Continuing Medical Education.
- Entry on Specialist Register in Medical Oncology (or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date) via CCT or CESR (CP).
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in Oncology.
- Ability to manage and lead specialist unit and working parties as appropriate.
