Job Description

Job Title: Radio Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Systems Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Radio Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our radio networks, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users to troubleshoot and resolve radio network issues
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on radio network equipment and software components
  • Install and configure new radio network equipment and software
  • Attend customer sites to perform site surveys, system maintenance, and fault finding/repair
  • Participate in out-of-hours telephone support as part of a rota

Requirements:

  • 2nd Line Radio repair experience, including maintenance and fault resolution
  • Experience with antenna, PMR installation, and decommissioning
  • Knowledge of Tetra, microwave, and DMR systems, including cell enhancement and repeater systems
  • Personal and on-site health and safety awareness
  • Liaison with and coordination of client and 3rd-party contractors
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Unix-based systems
  • General awareness of RF and electronic test equipment
  • Understanding of IP networks/LAN
