Job Summary

The University of Glasgow is seeking a highly skilled and motivated PhD Research Fellow to join our Multimorbidity PhD Programme for Health Professionals. As a Research Fellow, you will be part of a dynamic team working on a cohort-based 3-year PhD programme focused on multimorbidity research.

About the Programme

The Multimorbidity PhD Programme for Health Professionals is a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to develop their research skills and contribute to the advancement of multimorbidity research. The programme is designed to identify and develop highly skilled clinical practitioners into researchers who understand and use multidisciplinary research to answer important clinical questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in multimorbidity under the supervision of experienced academics
  • Develop and implement a PhD project aligned with the programme's objectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to achieve research goals
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and publications
  • Participate in training and professional development activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

A healthcare background and relevant professional registrationExperience in research or other relevant activitiesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood time management and organizational skills

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role will be commensurate with your existing NHS salary within the funding available to the programme. The expected maximum salary is Band 7, Point 34 of the Agenda for Change (£43,442). In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a supportive working environment, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in multimorbidity.
