Job Title: European Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled European Transport Planner to join our team at First Choice Staff. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning transportation routes and schedules for Europe, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules for Europe, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage export/import processes for road freight shipments, including customs clearance and management.
  • Coordinate with customers and office staff to plan routes and schedule delivery times, ensuring effective management of customer collections, packing services, and deliveries.
  • Work with customers and suppliers to resolve problems and complaints, and discuss and resolve client/supplier issues.
  • Assess clients' individual needs on a daily basis, liaising with overseas agents, private collectors, galleries, auction houses, artists, transport companies, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Some knowledge of domestic and European transport operations and planning.
  • Knowledge of current EU transport legislation.
  • Experience of dealing with high-end clients and goods.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Interpersonal skills, including discretion, trustworthiness, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • A flexible approach to work and the ability to manage priorities.
  • Commercially focused, considering end-to-end costs.
