Job Title: European Transport Planner

Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a highly skilled European Transport Planner to join their team. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning transportation routes and schedules for Europe, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules for Europe, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage export/import processes for road freight shipments, including customs clearance and documentation.
  • Work closely with customers and office staff to plan routes and schedule delivery times, coordinating drivers, agency drivers, and vehicles.
  • Coordinate with customs for clearance and manage customs entry exceptions.
  • Discuss and resolve client/supplier problems and complaints.
  • Assess clients' individual needs on a daily basis, liaising with overseas agents, private collectors, galleries, auction houses, artists, transport companies, etc.
Requirements:
  • Some knowledge of domestic and European transport operations and planning.
  • Knowledge of current EU transport legislation.
  • Experience of dealing with high-end clients and goods.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Interpersonal skills, discreet, trustworthy, and able to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • A flexible approach to work and able to manage priorities.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Commercially focused, considering end-to-end costs.
