About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Urgent Response Team at Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and management of complex mental health presentations.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of referrals and admissions to the service
- Diagnose and formulate management plans in complex presentations
- Provide management in treatment-resistant and complex presentations
- Assess and manage risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety, and risk of harm to others
- Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams, including external partners
Requirements
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment
