We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects on time and within budget.

About the Role:

  1. Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring regular checks are carried out.
  2. Ensure accurate records are maintained and comply with organisational and legal requirements.
  3. Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  4. Produce procurement schedules for jobs and liaise with the procurement department to ensure adequate resources.
  5. Produce ITP's and Task Briefings.
  6. Produce a 2-week look ahead in conjunction with the Project team.
  7. Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  1. Promote and establish safe working cultures and practices.
  2. Comply with company procedures and legal obligations.
  3. Promote and comply with environmental compliance.
  4. Deliver the works safely and to deadline.

Quality:

  1. Promote best practice.
  2. Comply with Company procedures.
  3. Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free.
  4. Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
  2. Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
  3. Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering.
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and staff.
  5. Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  6. BPSS security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a P4 pass.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
  2. Temporary-works co-ordination.
  3. CSCS card.
  4. Cable avoidance training.
  5. First aid training.
  6. Confined space training.
  7. NEBOSH or IOSH.

Design Tools/Software:

Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
