Civil Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. This exciting opportunity is based at our clients' offices on Sellafield Site, in West Cumbria.
About the Role:
- Set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring regular checks are carried out.
- Ensure accurate records and compliance with organisational and legal requirements.
- Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure adequate resources.
- Produce ITP's and Task Briefings.
- Produce a 2-week look ahead in conjunction with the Project team.
- Produce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets.
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Promote and establish safe working cultures and practices.
- Comply with company procedures and legal obligations.
- Promote and comply with environmental compliance.
- Deliver the works safely and to deadline.
Quality:
- Promote best practice.
- Comply with Company procedures.
- Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free.
- Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
- Degree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineering.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and staff.
- Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
- BPSS security clearance is required with the ability to obtain a P4 pass.
Desirable:
- Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Temporary-works co-ordination.
- CSCS card.
- Cable avoidance training.
- First aid training.
- Confined space training.
- NEBOSH or IOSH.
Design Tools/Software:
Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office.
