Job Description

Peartree House Rehabilitation is a highly specialized service providing assessment, treatment, management, and support to individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) or neurological disorders. We offer neuro-rehabilitation and long-term care in our units and to individuals in their own homes.

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team to provide support to an individual in their 60s who lives at home in the Southampton area. The successful candidate will work on a waking night shift, starting at 8:00 pm and finishing at 8:15 am, 3 or 4 nights a week. The role requires a commitment to up to 8 weeks of training and shadow shifts on days before moving to nights.

The individual you will support will need assistance with personal hygiene and health. As this is a waking night position, you will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining their tracheostomy and ventilator overnight. Tracheostomy experience is desired, but full paid training and sign of competency will be provided before starting the role. You will be expected to perform deep oral suctioning and RIG care (feeding tube maintenance).

This role requires the successful applicant to have care experience, though additional training will be provided for the client's particular needs. The salary for this position is £14 per hour, working 12 hours a night, 3 or 4 nights a week. Responsibilities and Duties

A valid full UK driving license is essential for this role. You will be required to assist the client with community access visits.
