Senior Art Psychotherapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Art Psychotherapist to join our dynamic team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, providing an excellent opportunity for career development and growth.

The successful applicant will work across our North Hub in Erdington and our Solihull Hub, providing art psychotherapy services to individuals and groups. As a Senior Art Psychotherapist, you will have a mix of clinical and operational responsibilities, supporting the Head of Arts Psychotherapies in delivering the requirements and expectations of the Community Transformation of Mental Health Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Line managing Band 7 and 6 arts psychotherapists
  • Supporting trainees and qualified arts psychotherapists through clinical supervision
  • Developing and informing referral pathways
  • Facilitating art psychotherapy interventions to individuals and groups
  • Providing consultation to other clinical staff

You will receive clinical supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist, line management support from within the community art psychotherapy team, access to training and development opportunities, and the chance to develop your leadership, management, clinical supervision, and training skills.
