AJ Bell, a leading investment platform business in the UK, is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Prevention Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the first-line team in responding to referrals originating from Customer Services and Operations business areas.

The key responsibilities of this role include triaging referrals, conducting initial risk assessments, and determining whether escalation to the second-line team is necessary. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain and develop the organisational structure of the Operational Financial Crime function, ensuring it continues to perform effectively.

As a Financial Crime Prevention Manager at AJ Bell, you will be expected to promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team through coaching and mentoring. You will also monitor adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and identify opportunities for process improvements or resource allocation adjustments as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in leading and developing financial crime teams, with a strong knowledge of AML, CTF, and Fraud regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

In return, AJ Bell offers a competitive salary of £46,000 per annum, with a starting holiday entitlement of 27 days increasing up to 31 days with length of service.
