Process Operations Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Process Operations Specialist to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of our process machinery to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up machinery ready for production, ensuring all guards are in place and functioning correctly.
  • Monitor machinery to ensure it is running correctly and safely during production, identifying and reporting any mechanical faults or problems to the Department Manager.
  • Continuously monitor product quality and liaise with QA as necessary.
  • Calculate throughputs and ensure correct throughput is obtained for the product being run.
  • Minimize wastage of product or materials by ensuring machinery is set up properly and baskets/dolavs are positioned appropriately along the line.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties of machinery.
  • Pass on relevant information and documentation to the incoming shift at shift changeover.
  • Ensure all machinery is empty of product and remove it to designated storage areas at the end of production.
  • Maintain all paperwork and pass relevant information/documentation to the oncoming shift.
  • Shut down all designated process machinery before leaving the building in the event of a fire alarm.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
