We are seeking a skilled Retail Operations Coordinator to support our shops in the defined geographical area of South Wales and the West of England. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with shop management experience to grow their career as an Area Manager.

About the Role

As a key member of the area team, you will coordinate and provide operational support to our shops. You will cover short-term shop manager absences, ensuring uninterrupted trading and maximizing income generation.

This role offers variety and collaboration with diverse communities. It's a fantastic stretch opportunity for those with shop manager experience, serving as a potential stepping stone toward an Area Manager role.

The role will support shop cover in our Oxfam shop network across Aberystwyth, Cardigan, Carmarthen, Swansea, Port Talbot, Cardiff, Penarth, Monmouth, Chepstow, Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Stroud, and Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and maintain inclusive, respectful, and safe environments in the shops.
  2. Collaborate with the Area Manager and shop managers to allocate shop cover effectively.
  3. Build trusting relationships in each shop to maintain engaged and motivated teams.
  4. Maximise Net Sales Contribution (NSC) and Gift Aid (GA) in all covered shops to agreed targets.
  5. Deliver continuous improvement support against specific KPIs.
  6. Develop and deliver a framework for feedback and handovers.
  7. Actively contribute to the local community and wider Retail network.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous retail or operational management experience.
  • Agile and adaptable working style.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Salary and Benefits
