Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics Business

Certain Advantage is recruiting on behalf of an International Logistics client for a Business Development Manager to join their European division, focusing on winning new contract logistics business for the supply of food products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales: Explore, identify, and respond to new tendering opportunities
  • Networking: Participate in targeted networking events and conferences
  • Promotion: Promote a tailored solution based on client needs, using appropriate features and benefits of the company's operating model
  • Sales Planning: Create local business sales plan and expansion of the local presence for all logistics and service offerings
  • Increase Sales: Establish local value proposition and work closely with the product organisation to increase sales and optimise P&L for the product
  • Coordination: Organise teams globally across functions, products, and geographies to improve the overall customer experience
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure effective contract fulfilment
Requirements:
  • Business Development experience relevant to winning new business (hunter)
  • Proven track record in sales and business development within a Logistics or Supply Chain environment
  • Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Ability to Travel if required
