Secure the Night Shift with Securitas

Securitas Security Services is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Night Security Officer to join our team in York. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of a prestigious shopping centre during the night hours.

About the Role

As a Night Security Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular patrols of the site to detect and prevent potential security threats
  • Responding to alerts and monitoring CCTV and fire alarm systems
  • Locking up the site and signing in contractors as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing paperwork in a timely manner
  • Handling crisis and emergency situations with confidence and professionalism
  • Fulfilling additional duties as requested by the line manager
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid SIA Licence
  • A driving licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Access to a vehicle or good transport links
  • Able to reach the site within a reasonable time period
  • A minimum of 1 year's security experience
  • A valid RTW and 5-year checkable history
  • Friendly and approachable communication skills
  • A hardworking and diligent attitude
  • A smart and professional appearance
