Security Installation and Commissioning Specialist

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a skilled Installation and Commissioning Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and commission security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and access control systems, in accordance with current standards and codes of practice.
- Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating potential risks to project delivery dates, and collaborating with project managers to ensure projects are completed on a snag-free basis and to specification.
- Hold relevant security qualifications and have a full understanding of BS5839.
- Undertake relevant training as required.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with company policy.
- Actively support company policy and best practice in the area of fire and security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
- Knowledge of integration of detection and CCTV systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage.
- Product knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, and Honeywell Access Control, Analogue and IP CCTV systems would be advantageous, including full programming of systems.
- A proven background and experience of working on CCTV, intruder, and access control projects.
- Knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, Honeywell Access Control, Analogue, and IP CCTV systems would be a real advantage.
- Ability to install and commission systems for CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and other bespoke security systems.
- The ability to work alone and effectively organize your time.
- A full clean driving license and a willingness to travel to locations across the UK.
- ECS/CSCS Card.
- A flexible attitude to working hours is necessary, and we require a willingness to travel to locations across the country. Some overnight stays will be required due to the nature of the business.
- Previous experience of working within a retail security systems environment.
- Network/IP-based product experience.
- Ideally have SSSTS or SMSTS cards or a willingness to achieve these.
- Supervisor experience, including full project delivery.
