Job Title: Installation and Commissioning Security Engineer

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a skilled Security Commissioning/Installation Engineer to join our team based in the South/South East region, with opportunities for UK-wide projects across various security sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission intruder alarm systems, CCTV systems, Access Control systems, EAS, and other bespoke security systems in accordance with current standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating potential risks to project delivery dates, and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on a snag-free basis and to specification.
  • Hold relevant security qualifications and possess a thorough understanding of BS5839.
  • Participate in relevant training as required.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with Company policy.
  • Support company policy and best practice in fire and security, with emphasis on protecting sensitive customer information.
  • Knowledge of integrating detection and CCTV systems into other disciplines would be advantageous.
  • Product knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, and Honeywell Access Control, Analogue, and IP CCTV systems, including full programming of systems, would be beneficial.
Requirements:
  • A proven background and experience in working on CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control projects.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, Honeywell Access Control, Analogue, and IP CCTV systems would be a significant advantage.
  • Ability to install and commission systems for CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, and other bespoke security systems.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively organize your time.
  • A full clean driving license and a willingness to travel to locations across the UK.
  • ECS/CSCS Card.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours is necessary, and a willingness to travel to locations across the country, with some overnight stays required due to the nature of the business.
  • Previous experience working within a retail Security Systems environment.
  • Network/IP-based product experience.
Desirable:
  • Ideally hold SSSTS or SMSTS cards or be willing to achieve these.
  • Supervisor experience, including full project delivery.
