Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager - RMNJob Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our client's team as a Deputy Ward Manager at their mental health hospital. As a key member of the nursing leadership team, you will play a crucial role in managing the ward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing staff on the ward
  • Assist the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management of the ward, including staffing, resource allocation, and patient care
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of care, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services through participation in quality improvement initiatives
  • Act as a role model for best practice in mental health nursing, promoting a culture of learning and development within the team
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification, with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience in a senior nursing role within a mental health setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make clinically sound decisions
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and the enhancement of nursing practice
