About the Role:

The Marine Construction Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Marine Governance throughout all SHE-Transmission projects containing an offshore element. This will include providing oversight and guidance on a functional level, as well as being accountable for the construction delivery of design, pre-construction activities, and offshore installation and landfall activities on large projects, including subsea cable installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the Offshore Directorate Marine Governance from Opportunity Assessment to Execute and lead construction teams in refining and executing large capital projects.
  • Provide leadership on site in terms of safety management and best practices, be experienced in accident/incident reporting, and the SSE Large Capital Projects Governance processes for all projects.
  • Deliver in alignment to the SHE-Transmission RIIO-T2 Business Plan, paying particular attention to the 5 clear goals.
  • Take responsibility for the provision of critical construction personnel within each project and support the provision of marine construction interfaces.
