**Project Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager - Smart Grids to join our team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering multiple live smart grid projects within our organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage and coordinate multiple live projects to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop new solutions to engineering problems and implement them effectively.
  • Support the design, implementation, and testing of active control systems, ensuring they meet design requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Propose and approve solutions to resolve root causes and ensure project success.
  • Assist the team with modifications to live systems, provide technical reviews of contracts, and develop innovative engineering solutions.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrable knowledge of SCADA/distributed control systems engineering and awareness of the principles of electrical power engineering.
  • Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent qualification or experience) would be advantageous.
  • Professionally registered or working towards professional registration with relevant Engineering Institutions.
