African Studies Academic Position

Key Responsibilities
  1. To conduct high-quality research and publish in the field of African Studies.
  2. To teach and supervise MPhil students in African Studies, contributing to the development of their research skills.
  3. To participate in the Centre's seminar programme and colloquia, engaging with academics and other stakeholders in the field.
  4. To develop and maintain relationships with African universities and Africa-based researchers and civil society organisations.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant field within the humanities and social sciences.
  • Excellent research ability and a strong publication record.
  • Experience working with African universities and Africa-based researchers and civil society.
  • Knowledge of an African language is a distinct advantage.
