About the Job:

This is a contract role initially for 6 months. You will be working as a Vehicle Mechanic for our defence client based at Bovington Camp. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out the servicing, repair, maintenance and overhaul of vehicles and electrical equipment.

You will also be responsible for diagnostic and inspection duties, as well as carrying out equipment examination to meet production requirements. Your daily tasks will involve working to the required standard and specification as detailed in accordance with customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, process plans and other technical publications.

You will ensure stores and equipment issued to job are used for their correct purpose. Your responsibilities include diagnosing, inspecting and assessing vehicles and associated mechanical or electrical equipment in line with your skills and competency.

You will need to ensure stores and equipment issued to job are used for their correct purpose and un-used or new faulty material is returned to the section or department Team Leader as soon as it is identified.

You will create job cards and demand material where the relevant ERP (SAP) training has been completed.

You will complete vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates or reports to current standards. This position involves manual work which could include lifting, bending and standing for long periods.
