Clinical Specialist Nurse

Job Summary
This role is based in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and is part of the Regional Specialist Cleft Nurse team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist care to children with cleft lip and palate. The role will involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, providing education and support to families, and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist care to children with cleft lip and palate, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, provide education and support to families, and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies. The role will also involve participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing training and education to other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of clinical research projects.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in pediatric care and a specialization in cleft lip and palate. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and other healthcare professionals. The role requires a high level of autonomy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also have a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in cleft care.
