Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse/Midwife

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Nurse/Midwife to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale research projects, as well as developing and facilitating research and innovation programs across health and social care settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage large-scale research projects, including project management, change management, and multidisciplinary working.
  • Develop and facilitate research and innovation programs across health and social care settings.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement research studies.
  • Provide expert advice on research methodology and statistical analysis.
  • Develop and present workable solutions to complex service and research issues.
Requirements:
  • NMC Registered nurse or midwife.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or closely related health degree.
  • Evidence of completed Masters training in research.
  • Completed PhD Postgraduate teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Recent experience at a senior level, including project management, change management, and multidisciplinary working.
  • Experience of leading and managing large improvement and doctoral-level research projects/studies.
  • Extensive experience of teaching, developing, and facilitating research and innovation programs to the inter-professional team across health and social care settings.
  • Evidence of current clinical practice in a range of acute care settings.
  • Evidence of leading projects across health and social care settings/clinical practice, teaching, and research.
  • Able to influence the direction and decisions of Nursing and Midwifery services, Trust, and external audiences as required, including Higher Education Institutions and commissioning organizations.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to present highly complex data to a variety of audiences.
  • Evidence of an ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex, multi-stranded data in appropriate forms.
  • Ability to think laterally, identify, and evaluate options for education, training, and research programs in delivering the aims of the Institute for Nursing and Midwifery Care Excellence, Trust, and the wider health and social care community.
  • Well-developed IT skills to manage and report on complex performance management information systems.
