The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to support our Global Director, Advisory in achieving growth in the UK and EMEA through a combination of:
- Leadership of our Legal Operations Advisory function
- Amplifying our position with regard to the Legal Operations Advisory offering
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day, this role will involve providing leadership to our UK-based Legal Operations Advisory team on:
- Delivery of services where clients in the UK and EMEA can benefit from advice relating to:
- Legal function strategy and legal transformation
- New ways of working and legal delivery, including legal process improvement and legal design
- Data and digitalization, including technology adoption and design and implementation of technology-enabled solutions
- Delivery of services where relevant markets can benefit from:
- Macro-level insights and trends from Legal Operations Advisory services to clients
- Future-focused digital corporate foresight relevant to Legal Operations Advisory services
- Applying best practice frameworks, methodologies, and toolkits to deliver a consistent and positive client experience and key client insights to partners, Client Relationship Partners, and Managers and the firm
- Using expert facilitation to lead collaborative workshops, events, and projects internally and with clients primarily through the application of key methodologies such as Design Thinking
- Leading and/or collaborating with project teams from across Digital Legal Delivery and the wider firm to identify commercial opportunities to cross-sell services or combine Legal Operations Advisory services with core Legal services and driving forward implementation of these products and projects where appropriate
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- 7+ years of experience in a professional services/consulting environment (legal qualifications or a background working in law firms is not mandatory but will be considered)
- Experience leading delivery of large and/or complex consulting projects that leverage multidisciplinary teams, ideally for in-house legal teams or in the legal sector
- Comprehensive understanding of the legal process and typical products in a law firm environment
- Expert consultative selling and client service skills
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience managing teams
- Strong partnering and collaboration skills with demonstrated experience in influencing change across multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to think creatively and analytically
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
