Dunbar Education is working with a boys' grammar school to find a skilled SEND Support Specialist. This role offers a permanent, full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

About the School

The school is an 11-18 sixth form entry boys' comprehensive and is oversubscribed every year. They are a Specialist Sports College and converted to Academy status in 2011. The school provides a secure learning environment for its pupils in modern and historic buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and students to provide support for students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with EHCPs
  • Coordinate provision from external agencies
  • Provide training and support for colleagues on SEND-related topics

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
