Child Care Leader and Mentor

Job Overview
CV-Library is currently seeking a skilled Residential Senior Therapeutic Child Care Practitioner to join our team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for children in a residential setting, while promoting positive adult role models and supporting their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of staff, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of children, adhering to National Quality Care Standards and Regulations.
- Create a supportive environment that fosters children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Ensure children's health, medical, and educational needs are met, respecting their individual identity and needs.
- Promote and respect children's culture, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, and linguistic backgrounds.
- Address concerns and complaints from parents, carers, and regulatory bodies in a professional manner.
- Attend training events and participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided, making recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the well-being of children.
What We Offer
An annual salary of £40,000 is offered for this position, with opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. The shift pattern consists of 10 x 24-hour shifts per month on a rolling rota, including sleep-ins. An initial training period until early 2025 is also included, Monday to Friday, with holidays given for Christmas and New Year.
