Assistant Director of Case Management

About the JobIn this role, the incumbent will provide assistance to the Director of Case Management and oversight of the casework department as required for the operations of Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. The goal is to ensure appropriate casework services are provided to foster an opportunity for habilitation to juvenile offenders.
Core Responsibilities- Monitoring the case management process to ensure compliance with classification, early release, and special placement program guidelines
- Screening cases at intake for intra-facility transfers and community placements
- Following up to ensure that decisions are acted upon according to the time frames set during the intake screening process
- Monitoring to ensure that behavioral programs are implemented in accordance with approved guidelines
- Conducting file audits at least quarterly to ensure compliance with department standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of treatment and management of services in a residential setting
- Considerable knowledge of planning and implementing client resource services
- Comprehensive knowledge of the case management practices in a correctional setting
- Knowledge of auditing case management services and processes to determine compliance
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, oversee, and follow up to ensure the work of the case management staff
- Extensive experience in providing supervision and direct treatment services to adolescents
- Considerable experience in the management of treatment services
