About the Job

In this role, the incumbent will provide assistance to the Director of Case Management and oversee the casework department to ensure compliance with classification, early release, and special placement program guidelines. Key responsibilities include monitoring the case management process, screening cases for intra-facility transfers and community placements, and conducting file audits to ensure compliance with department standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Monitor the case management process to ensure compliance with classification, early release, and special placement program guidelines.
  • Screen cases at intake for intra-facility transfers and community placements.
  • Follow up to ensure that decisions are acted upon according to the time frames set during the intake screening process.
  • Monitor to ensure that behavioral programs are implemented in accordance with approved guidelines.
  • Conduct file audits at least quarterly to ensure compliance with department standards.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of treatment and management of services in a residential setting.
  • Considerable knowledge of planning and implementing client resource services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of case management practices in a correctional setting.
  • Knowledge of auditing case management services and processes to determine compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, oversee, and follow up to ensure the work of the case management staff.
Additional Considerations
  • Extensive experience in providing supervision and direct treatment services to adolescents.
  • Considerable experience in the management of treatment services.
