Job Title: Director of Financial Services

Job Summary:

Brightpoint Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Services to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to the college, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies, and overseeing the financial planning and budgeting process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the college's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to college administrators and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including those related to accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process, including the development of financial models and forecasts.
  • Manage and analyze financial data to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in financial management, including experience in senior-level management.
  • Strong management, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent record of leadership in policy formation (planning, assessment, and evaluation).
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems and information technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education and/or state government administration.
  • Knowledge of Agency Risk Management and Internal Control Standards (ARMICS) and federal financial aid regulations.
