Senior Manager – Portfolio Assurance

About the Role:

  • The HINV Transformation & Change team focuses on shaping and managing the HINV CTB plan, ensuring strategic objectives are met while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • We run pragmatic transformation governance, utilizing an Agile operating model to deliver new digital capabilities and track delivery progress to resolve key issues efficiently.
  • As a Portfolio Assurance Specialist, you will facilitate key decisions on the architecture of digital and business capabilities in collaboration with HSBC Architecture teams to maximize efficiency through reuse of assets.
  • You will develop business analysis, delivery management, and testing disciplines across Digital and all other change and embed as appropriate to achieve high-paced and well-coordinated delivery of new capabilities to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HINV Value streams and change initiatives require assurance to ensure they sustainably adhere to Change Standards and HSBC Group requirements.
  • Identify and manage portfolio change execution risk in line with RTCL framework to prevent potential disruptions.
  • Audit actions and MSIIs must be realistic, actioned, and closed in a timely manner to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • EFFECTIVE CHANGE AND GOVERNANCE OVERSIGHT MANAGEMENT is crucial in re-enforcing excellence in agile delivery and maintaining organizational stability.
  • Work closely with the Group Transformation office, Wholesale Transformation, and the wider HINV Strategic Transformation and change team to ensure HINV meets expectations on Group wide common ways of working.
  • Consult with all HINV & Global value streams to ensure non-duplicative change standards monitoring and adherence.

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio risk background with experience in managing mid-to-large-scale transformation portfolios.
  • Proficiency in Change framework and risk framework to drive informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering transformations within complex global organizations, including corporate banking industry expertise.
  • Ability to track and course-correct large-scale programmatic change and drive innovation.
  • Broad understanding of corporate banking industry, including products, competitive landscape, regulatory environment, and digitalization trends.
  • Experience in all types of change, with a desire for experience in digital transformation, including design and delivery of digital capabilities.
  • Knowledge of HSBC and HINV environment, including strategy, products, processes, technology, and people.
  • Agile ways of operating experience is desirable, along with ability to influence stakeholders at an executive committee level.
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insight from imperfect data and information.
  • Highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to challenge and collaborate effectively.
