Job Summary:
Widener University is seeking a highly skilled Campus Safety Sergeant to oversee the safety and security of our campus community. This is a full-time, 3rd shift position that requires a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and manage a team of Campus Safety Corporals and Officers.
  • Supervise the response to calls for service and incidents, and prepare accurate and objective reports.
  • Provide on-the-job training to personnel assigned to the shift and assist in the investigation and resolution of incidents.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Perform duties of a dispatcher or Campus Safety Officer as needed.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience in a progressively responsible supervisory or customer service role.
  • Experience with dispatch software and communication systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in higher education or a school environment.
  • Law enforcement, military, campus or public safety experience.
