As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.
Main Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the practice team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient records.
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as needed.
- Manage patient communication, including sending reminders, notifications, and other important information.
- Process patient requests, including prescription requests, test results, and other medical information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the practice team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and practice operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or administrative setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other practice management software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business.
- Experience working in a primary care or specialty practice setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
- Certification in medical office administration or a related field.
