About the RoleThe Satellite Welshpool Renal Unit is a diverse department providing care for patients with renal failure, from pre-dialysis to maintenance dialysis, conservative management, end-of-life care, and supporting patients through transplantation.
The role of the staff nurse is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to care for patients undergoing dialysis in various locations, including the dialysis unit, renal ward, and critical care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care for haemodialysis patients and their families.
- Assist in the management and organisation of the clinical area and participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.
- Develop knowledge and skills in renal nursing by working with renal specialist nurses and other renal ward nurses.
