About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Victim Care Officer in South Wales. As a key member of our Victim Support team, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to victims of crime, ensuring they have access to the resources and information they need to recover from their experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to victims of crime, ensuring they feel heard and understood.
  • Work closely with victims to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure victims receive comprehensive support.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential harm.
  • Provide information and guidance on the criminal justice system and available resources.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system and its impact on victims.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including victims of crime.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation.
