About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care and Support Specialist to join our team in South Wales. As a key member of our Victim Support team, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to victims of crime, ensuring they receive the necessary information and resources to recover from their experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to victims of crime, empowering them to take control of their journey.
  • Work closely with victims to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure victims receive comprehensive support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand the impact of crime on victims and develop effective strategies for recovery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with victims, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the Criminal Justice System and its impact on victims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with victims and their families.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
