Peer Support Specialist

This role will play a vital part in supporting the ongoing success of our peer worker offer within our Living Well teams, specifically for individuals with Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) who may attract a diagnosis of 'personality disorder'.
About the RoleAs a Peer Support Worker, you will be part of a team that provides high-quality patient services that are clinically safe, evidence-based, and delivered cost-effectively. You will work with a caseload providing peer support to individuals with CEN, ensuring that support is delivered in a person-centred manner, enabling individuals accessing the service and those close to them to be involved in treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the provision of high-quality patient services that are clinically safe, evidence-based, and delivered cost-effectively.
- Work with a caseload providing peer support to individuals with CEN, ensuring that support is delivered in a person-centred manner.
- Assist individuals to develop support plans and promote their wellbeing at work.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of services within the Emotion Regulation Pathway Short-term Offer.
- Help with the design and delivery of training, a family and carer offer, and more generally with the development of services.
Essential
- Good general standard of education.
- Lived experience of mental health as a recipient of care.
- Experience of a recovery approach.
Desirable
- Peer support qualification or training.
- Experience of listening, collecting information, and representing a diverse voice.
- Practiced as an expert by experience in any setting.
- Experience of working in a team.
