About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Development Officer to join our team at De Montfort University Leicester. As a key member of our Library and Student Services directorate, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing student-facing activities that promote employability and work experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver careers workshops, employer events, and other initiatives to support students' employability and improve the university's employability outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with the Health and Life Sciences Career Development Manager to establish collaborative links between the Careers Team and De Montfort University students, graduate recruiters, faculties, and the Students' Union.
  • Monitor and evaluate comprehensive and up-to-date management information and labour market intelligence relating to employability activities throughout the student journey.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in delivering career workshops and information, advice, and guidance to students, informed by knowledge of the graduate employability market.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and experience of marketing and/or events management.
