Workshop Operations Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Simpson Booth in Carnforth. As a key member of the ICR Operations team, you will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of workshop activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management in preparing, planning, and executing work-fronts under strict job-carding controls.
- Apply HSEQ controls and ensure QA/QC of all product and service lines prior to dispatch.
- Work with the Goods-In/Out Procedure to execute inventory and asset movements according to company processes.
- Allocate personnel to jobs in the workshop and ensure timely completion.
Main Tasks
- Evaluate and implement Company standards for maintenance and repair of site equipment.
- Distribute work to technicians, providing necessary information and deadlines.
- Ensure toolbox talks and risk assessments are conducted and signed off.
- Maintain interface between operations teams and achieve deliverables across all product and service lines.
- Conduct QA/QC checks on all product and service lines as per job requirements.
- Manufacture jigs and fittings to meet Customer deadlines.
- Rota system to provide 24/7 workshop cover.
- Assist with BMS-related process management and development.
- Manage and organize general workshop tasks.
- Maintain company asset registers and trackers.
- Ensure the Workshop, Loading Bay, Stores, and Technician Areas are well-maintained and organized.
- Maintain good working practices with compliance to the Company's HSE policies.
- Provide weekly updates to Management.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Mechanical workshop experience and background.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Driven and goal-oriented individual.
- Well-organized and methodical person.
- Experience with time writing management systems and processes.
- Stock management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position based in Carnforth, Lancashire, UK.
