Lead Teacher for Academic Progress

Empowering Learning seeks a highly skilled teacher to lead a Year 2 class. This full-time position will begin in January and offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Role:

This role involves creating engaging lessons, inspiring curiosity, and supporting social and emotional development in students. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a love for learning and encourage curiosity among pupils.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high teaching standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children's welfare.
  • Two professional references from previous teaching roles.

The estimated salary for this role is £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
