We are partnering with a leading manufacturer to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will assist in transactional duties, including purchase and sales ledger functions, VAT, monthly reporting, and bank journals.

The company is a dynamic and growing organization with a strong presence in the UK, Ireland, and Europe. As an Accounts Assistant, you will work alongside talented finance professionals to complete various duties, including managing debts, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, and resolving accounts queries.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in financial administration, obtained GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above, and SAP experience is advantageous.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with flexible start times, 7.25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, free car parking, and the opportunity to work in a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control the debts of the business
  • Process incoming funds, reconcile invoices, and resolve accounts queries
  • Manage the purchase ledger function, including matching, batching, and timely recording of invoices
  • Provide support to the sales ledger and accounts functions
  • Complete, analyse, conduct, and document phone payments
  • Ensure company records are updated regarding accounts and supplier details
