About the Role

Total Resourcing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects within the Engineering team, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects at various phases, from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Studies: Deliver and manage technical studies related to mechanical handling, powder technologies, and other mechanical processes.
  • Design and Engineering: Design mechanical processes, from strategic and conceptual phases to detailed design and construction & commissioning phase support.
  • Project Management: Manage technical studies, design, and engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Networking: Establish and maintain relationships with other experts within the business, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree, plus a minimum of 5 years' experience working on UK nuclear sites.
  • Professional Membership: Member of relevant professional body.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience of engineering design, team management, and technical studies delivery in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical engineering and technical studies.
  • Desirable: Experience of delivering projects for Sellafield or Magnox sites.
