Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Total Resourcing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects across various phases, from FEED to commissioning, and will work closely with operational engineering multi-disciplines teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and manage technical studies related to mechanical handling, powder technologies, and other mechanical processes.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including mechanical flow diagrams, flow-sheets, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings.
  • Conduct technical specification documentation reviews from supply chain and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other experts within the business to drive technical innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working on UK nuclear sites.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience in engineering design, team management, and technical studies delivery in the nuclear industry or other regulated sectors.
  • Recognised Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong track record of delivering projects for Sellafield or Magnox sites.
