Support Assistant for Students with SEN

About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to provide personalized support to students with a range of special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to students with SEN.
- Assist in planning and delivering tailored educational activities.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a teaching assistant with SEN expertise
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with students.
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
