Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in West South Somerset. The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services within the rehabilitation department and participate in the development of the rehabilitation service in the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred rehabilitation and discharge planning to the ward and continue the goal-focused approach into the community.
  • Manage a caseload of complex patients in both the community and community hospital settings.
  • Act as clinical supervisor and undertake managerial supervision for Band 5 Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Degree/diploma level education leading to Registration by the Health Professions Council (UK) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Evidence of continued professional development maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at relevant postgraduate courses.
  • Proven postgraduate experience with extensive clinical experience relevant to the post.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
Compensation Package

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
