We are seeking a skilled Urology Department Administrator to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for supervising a team of staff, ensuring efficient provision of urology admissions and secretarial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead administrator for the urology department, overseeing daily operations and managing a team of administrative assistants, coordinators, and secretaries.
  • Work closely with the Lead Coordinator and general management team to achieve targets related to two-week wait times, 18-week waiting times, and diagnostic targets for urology.
  • Provide administrative support to facilitate high-quality patient care, ensuring effective communication with patients, relatives, general practitioners, and other hospital staff.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also essential for success in this role.

Job Requirements
  • Experience in a similar administrative or supervisory role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, including recruitment, training, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
